Working on the Web Design had its ups and downs. It was difficult to place text boxes and images exactly where I wanted them to go. I did not like the large amount of buttons because it was a little overwhelming. I did enjoy how you could use a template of someone else's website. This made it a little easier to figure out how I wanted my website to look. I can use this application in the future when I actually have my own classroom and wish to make a website that both my students and their parents can use.

Working with Diigo is a new experience. It took me a while to figure out how to annotate documents, but once I got the hang of it, I realized this website is very helpful. In the classroom, this application can be used by students when doing research projects. With team members and individual professional efforts, this application can be used among one another to review documents and receive constructive criticism.

One link that teachers can use in order to stay updated with the advancements of technology is The EdTech Roundup. This website lists numerous websites everyday so teachers can use them in current lesson plans. This website also has an application where teachers can find lesson plans for elementary students or secondary students. Teachers can also post websites if they think it can be resourceful for other teachers.

  1. Hi! I loved your website and how you used the colors and beach background to match your own picture and text. I would recommend making sure the text and image contrast is enough to make sure the reader can see the text clearly. Great job!

  2. Hey Morgan! I really enjoyed the simplicity that you had in your classroom website. Everything was extremely neat and organized. I loved how you had a "Contact Me" option on the Parents Tab. This is an organized way to track messages. The Elizabeth Warren quote that you included in the Home Tab was a nice touch! If this was your future classroom quote, I think that it would really inspire students to learn. I enjoyed how you had the student links on the Students Tab split up by subject area. I think that makes it simple for students to find what they want. In the Parents Tab, you had a list of supplies you would like donated, an online registration link, and a transportation link. This makes it easy for parents to find exactly what they need and help out your classroom! Great work!
