After looking through the ELA Standards, I selected the standard LAFS.2.SL.1.2, which is found in "Grade 2". This standard requires students to describe important details from a passage which had been read to them orally or through some other form of presentation (recording device, powerpoint, online textbook, etc.). This standard basically requires students to interpret what they hear or see and answer questions about it to see whether or not they comprehended what they had heard/seen. I feel prepared to implement this standard for two reasons. I feel am "tech savy" enough to use media that students nowadays can relate to. I also feel that, personally, I can present information well enough for young students to understand. The tool/resource that I have selected is from the second grade, mathematics category. The item is titled "Yum Pizza" and uses STEM aspects in order to figure out which style of pizza to promote around town. This is a fictional case, ...
